In a way I have the greatest sympathy for Hadija Tajik, a candidate for the Norwegian Labour Party (Arbeiderpartiet) as she will become the trail and error case – does social media comes in handy running for office?
Together with the production company CIK who is making the campaign for here, they will do whatever they can to promote her, and hopefully, land her a seat in the Norwegian congress, Stortinget.

I have no doubt in my mind that she is well qualified for the position, but where I have my doubts, it’s that this campaign doesn’t come from her. It’s kinda’ produced and put together without the feeling inside, which good political campaigns have done so far.
But yet, I wish her the best and I’m curious on how it will work out.

I wonder if Jens and Arbeiderpartiet will show this one again ?
It’s funny in a way, and making people laugh but one of the few things making people vote for Arbeiderpartiet in the forthcoming election.

Political ads on Norwegian TV?
The European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg Thursday said in a statement yesterday that Norway’s restrictions again political TV-ads is against the freedom of speech, and because of that we can have political ads in the election campaigns next year.
Is this a good thing? Yes, I absolutely think so! During an election year, you probably will see a variety of political ads on TV. But do you ever stop to think about the messages that are being conveyed? As you may already know, political ads can convey both positive and negative feelings. The purpose of a positive political ad is to create support for the featured candidate by emphasizing the candidate’s good qualities and accomplishments. Positive ads are intended to leave viewers feeling good about the candidate.
The interesting thing in this matter is, will the political parties in Norway go for the parties itself, or will they promote some of the house-hold names? Will they even be so courages that they allow less known people to have ads on the local TV-stations?
There is tons of good political TV-ads – this is one of my favorites – a positive one telling the world how he can solve things! Brilliant!
I’m very curios, who will win the US Election?
I’m interested in finding out if the US will do something that wouldn’t happen in Norway in the next twenty years, choosing someone to office with a different background then tradition says…
And if Mr. Obama will win, then I think the world will be very disappointed within the next six months – he’s voted by Americans and will put their interests in front, quite naturally. And that will come as a shock to many I’ll guess.
Anyway, it will be an interesting night.
If McCain wins, should we all move to Scandinavia?
Time for the big race – Obama vs McCain
Finally, the race within the democratic party is over, as it seems (still waiting for Hillary to call it quits…) and it’s time for the big one – the race for the presidency.
And it seems during this day it has already heated up; McCain seized on his rival’s trademark slogan to say: “That’s not change we can believe in.”
His campaign went a step further, playing off Obama’s “Change We Can Believe In” slogan with a green sign behind McCain that read: “A Leader We Can Believe In.”
I’m curios what the Obama-campaign will respond with, anyway, we’re on our way… it will be interesting to follow.
Elections in Russia and the US
It’s interesting to see how different elections works in two of the biggest countries in the world. In Russia the power will show the world of unite, gathering together for a better future as a group, in the US the each and one individual try to tear each other apart, in the name of uniting the country.
It’s more a reflection and I do find it fascinating, it’s so far away on how we do things here up north.
