Yet again I have to write something about this amazing handballplayer! Despite his 30 cigarettes a day he still deliveres! Yesterday he, almost on his own, won the game between Denmark and Croatia at the European Championships in Austria.
Just wanna say what an incredible player he is! And I do think Croatia, yet again, will [...]

November 1st, 2009 · No Comments · Sports

For the first time in ten years, AIK, wins the Swedish league premier league Allsvenskan. My deepest congratulations and joy! One of my four favorite teams wins this year, the other ones are Oakland A’s, Brann and West Ham, so you could see why I’m happy!
But, Allsvenskan, compared to Europe, is one of the [...]

The morons ruining swedish football!

October 7th, 2009 · No Comments · Sports

It has become quite clear that the morons calling themselves supporters are more and more destroying the fun of watching football in Sweden. Last week the chairman of Hammarby (one of the big clubs in Stockholm) resigned because of death threats. I mean, what on earth are these people thinking about? How could you expect [...]

I had plan to write a hot lof of stuff regarding the elections here in Norway, but when I saw Usain Bolt last night, that kind of performance deserves a blog post on it’s own! What can you say, except wow! This must be one of the single most impressive sports performances ever, shattering the [...]

A surprise at U.S. Open

June 24th, 2009 · 1 Comment · Sports

I have commented it other places like Twitter, but it was kind of amazing to see that Lucas Glover played so well in the end, I thought that Ricky Barnes would hold on to it, the the pressure must have been too much, so he kinda’ collapsed at the U.S. Open….
And, I really liked that [...]

Fun things happens in baseball

April 27th, 2009 · 2 Comments · Sports

Yesterday, in one of the biggest rivaliries in sports, the game between by Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees, the centerfielder from Boston Red Sox Jacoby Ellsbury, stole homeplate! This sure is a rare thing – and it’s so fun to watch!
Now I’m just waiting for the speedsters in Oakland A’s to do the [...]

The casuals are destroying fotball!

April 19th, 2009 · No Comments · Sports

On my way to see Brann-Vålerenga in the Norwegian Tippeliga, and the morons strikes here in Norway. A huge fight just outside the Nationalteatret subway station – about 50 people.
I don’t have anything else that despise and hatred for these people, they are destroying everything about football!
Now I’m looking forward to see Brann take it’s [...]

So, it’s time again – Major League Baseball has started again. So what will happen this year??

To be honest, I don’t dare to guess, my guesses last year was so terrible, but some predictions entering the 2009 season:
New York Yankees will miss the postseason again, Red Sox and Rays will be strong! Rich Harden will [...]

My guess about Tippeligaen

March 24th, 2009 · No Comments · Sports

Since there has been two matches played in the Norwegian tippeliga, this is my shot at guessing what will be the outcome.
Rosenborg
Brann
Stabekk
Tromsø
Viking
Lillestrøm
Molde
Fredrikstad
Lyn
Bodø/Glimt
Strømsgodset
Start
Vålerenga
Sandefjord
Aalesund
Odd Grenland
On paper, this should, unfortunately, be a walk in the park for the trønder boys…

Baseball in crisis, again

February 9th, 2009 · No Comments · Sports

I read this article yesterday, written by ESPN senior writer Jayson Stark, about Sports Illustrated article Alex Rodriguez tested positive for steroids in 03.
Mr Stark is very angry and I do agree, like he says in his article “In baseball, we love our numbers. And we love our heroes. And that brings us to [...]

So what do I do, go skiing of course. Handball World Championships is over, so is Super Bowl (great game by the way, go Bucs!)
Here is a view from yesterday Sunday, and absolute brilliant day skiing – I don’t know hoe to prepare my skis, a lot of people and dogs, but I was ecstatic.

How could it happen?

January 27th, 2009 · 3 Comments · Sports

Norway lost against Poland in a decisive game at Handball World Championships. Two goals up with two minutes to go – I was quite convinced Norway was in the semifinals. .
But it didn’t happen – Kristian Kjelling, probably Norways best player so far during the Championships, lost it in the final seconds, and all dreams [...]

Money can’t buy everything, sometimes…

January 20th, 2009 · 4 Comments · Sports

The Brazilian superstar Ricardo Kaka refused to go from Milan to Manchester City, despite The Premier League club’s audacious bid to sign the Brazilian star in a £100million-plus deal.
He was happy where he is. Two points, his making a huge marketing impact as one of the few sports superstars saying no to a better bid (this [...]

Handball World Championships – Denmark vs Serbia

January 18th, 2009 · 2 Comments · Sports

One of the most amazing handball games I have ever seen, the game between Denmark and Serbia in the World Championships in Croatia. It had everything!
Denmark won 37-36 – I’m very scared what this Serbian team could do against Norway in a couple of days.

New manager for Norway

December 8th, 2008 · No Comments · Sports

It happened, Åge Hareide withdraw from his position as the manager for the Norwegian football team. Not surprisingly, looking at the results the last year.
My idea, get Guus Hiddink, buy out Steinar Nilsen as manager for Brann and get Hareide as the new manager for Brann – that’s the best solution for all parties!

Things happen in Oakland, maybe…

November 26th, 2008 · 1 Comment · Sports

Is really Oakland A’s gonna’ sign Rafael Furcal, well, every sign says so. But $48 millions, hey ya, it’s a lot of money. Anyway, if this really happens, and I would love to – think of the infield combo of Furcal and Mark Ellis! I just don’t want this to happen! Rafael Furcal Error Night

Steinar Nilsen – new manager in Brann

November 21st, 2008 · No Comments · Sports

Steinar Nilsen, the former manager of Tromsø, signed a three-year contract with Brann today, starting January 1st 2009.
Despite having pushed Tromsø to third-place in Tippeligaen 2008, I really don’t know. I’m hoping for the best, but I’m skeptical. Going abroad this time I think would be a good idea, why not trying something new and [...]

Is really Oakland A’s trading for Matt Holiday?

November 10th, 2008 · No Comments · Sports

The A’s are working to complete a trade with the Rockies that would bring Matt Holliday to Oakland. One of the sources said said reliever Huston Street, lefty starter Greg Smith and outfielder Carlos Gonzalez were among the players who had been discussed in recent days.
Why, beats me since it’s only a one year rental, [...]
