Norway lost against Poland in a decisive game at Handball World Championships. Two goals up with two minutes to go – I was quite convinced Norway was in the semifinals.
.
But it didn’t happen – Kristian Kjelling, probably Norways best player so far during the Championships, lost it in the final seconds, and all dreams vanished as Poland threw the ball into the empty Norwegian goal… sad ending, both for Kjelling and Norwegian male handball.
How could it happen?

Hei! I’ve been at mathches that day and watched game against Poland. Although from Kroatia, I cheered for Norway (as a huge fan).It is imposibble to tell what happened, what went wrong. We were completely prepared to start celebrating with all people from Norge who were there and …I dont’ know… But, nevertheless, Norway team was really impressive, they deserved semi-finals. You were so close. I wish you all the best next time. Greetings from Zadar!!!
Hi Katarina, thank you for your words! It has been a blessing seeing the arrangement and crowds noise from Croatia during the last 14 days.
I’m sorry that it didn’t work out for your team in the finals yesterday – it could have gone either way, but I felt that France had a better keeper and was a bit stronger – they could for work 60 minutes. On the other hand, had Balic been well, then I think you would have one. He’s number one when healthy!
Hei Nikki. Thank you, it was great Championship.
Silver is also good. And your were absolutely right when saying they had a better goalkeeper. Whole french defense was better. I also think that it would be a completely different situation if Balic had been well.
Enjoy your skiing!
